Marlene J. Cooper

Marlene Jenkins Cooper is the author of three books, "While in the Valley" ,"Grace Notes", and "Life 101: Money Management and Adulting Made Simple". She is also a retired public school teacher from the School District of Philadelphia. During her thirty-four years of service, she not only held the general vocal music teacher position, but later, as a computer specialist and music teacher, she taught grades K-8.
Additionally, Marlene Jenkins Cooper has served as a workshop leader, choral director, worship leader, and vocalist/pianist through music ministries and worship services at various churches throughout the Philadelphia Region. Her singing voice has been heard throughout the East Coast, Bermuda, Canada, and Liberia, West Africa. She has also served as a member of a prison ministry and has applied her professional training to educate children through Bible and music at various Christian overnight camps and Vacation Bible Schools. She is one of the facilitators for her home church’s Where Do I Go From Here? (WDIGFH) ministry, a group support ministry for those who are separated or divorced. 
Ms. Cooper holds music education degrees from Temple University and The King’s College, and completed further graduate studies in technology at Temple University.
She is the parent of two adult children, Joy Alison and Mark Anthony II, and grandmother of one, Nina Simone. She enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, swimming, and playing tennis. Her greatest desires are to bring more people into the Kingdom of God and help people live a victorious Christian life.
